November 1: Cincinnati Christian's Micah Katz (boys cross country) and Jenny Bertram (volleyball), Roger Bacon's Kelsey Niesen (volleyball), Cincinnati Country Day's Parker Corbin (football) and Elizabeth Zimmerman (girls soccer), and Summit Country Day's Madison Sievering (girls soccer) and Elena Stone (volleyball) were finalists for the Enquirer Athlete of the Week honor. A win means the Lady Nighthawks will play for a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! Fee served as President of the SWOHSSCA for nearly 10 years, and also served for four years as its treasurer. Clinton High School was also a member of the conference, as were Jefferson and Washington of Cedar Rapids, Iowa City High and Dubuque Senior (known for years simply as Dubuque). ALL-MVC HONORS: Player of the Year honors went to Cincinnati Christian's Noah Neu (Gray Division) and Summit Country Day's Tommy DeRoussel and Seven Hills' Everett Rinaldi (Scarlet Division). DISTRICT RESULTS: Cincinnati Country Day finished 16th and Seven Hills 22nd at the District Championships. Clark Montessori locked up the Gray Division title in girls action, while Purcell Marian captured the Scarlet Division championship.
